Arrowhead Semantic Repository

Arrowhead fPVN

As described in The Arrowhead flexible Production Value Network (fPVN) project, we are in the process of providing autonomous and evolvable interoperability of information through machine-interpretable content for fPVN stakeholders. The resulting technology is projected to substantially impact manufacturing productivity and flexibility.

Work Package 4.3 (WP4.3) - Ontology Subgroup

Within the interoperability group (WP4.3), we are the Ontology subgroup that aims at using ontologies and knowledge graphs to support data interoperability development.

Most scientific data repositories have limited capacity to integrate data within studies and even less to support harmonization across multiple studies. Data collected to support scientific research is often gathered in diverse contexts (e.g., using different instruments), making it difficult to integrate datasets from different studies. In this demonstration site, we describe how HASCO/Repo, a semantic repository for scientific data,  is used to capture, preserve, and leverage data generated and consumed in the Arrowhead fPVN Project. We also explain how this repository uses NOVA's DITAG and HASCO/Repo knowledge to harmonize data in multiple Arrowhead use cases.

These are the members of Arrowhead fPVN who are involved in the development of this demonstration:

  • Instituto Piaget, Portugal
  • Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Portugal
  • Lulea University of Technology, Sweden
